Staying connected in a sustainable world

Sustainability has taken a prominent place in our daily activities. ICT Group are very much aware of their responsibility and the many functions we fulfil as an employer, supplier, client, and business partner. Sustainable business operation is an integral part of our endeavour to make the world a little smarter every day. This is linked to our Corporate Social Responsibility strategy and enshrined in our Code of Conduct, both implicitly and explicitly.

ICT Group have defined the following spearheads to execute our Corporate Social Responsibility strategy:

  • Promoting sustainable availability
  • Maintaining high ethical and business integrity standards
  • Improving sustainable innovation
  • Reducing our ecological footprint and that of the world

Three focus areas

As a technology service provider, we intend to develop innovative ideas and sustainable solutions that make the world smarter every day. We distinguish three focus areas.

Industries

Reducing our clients' ecological footprint and ensuring responsible consumption and production based on innovative IT solutions.

Public & Infra

Creating smart IT solutions that improve the quality of city life, promoting economic growth and innovation.

Software solutions

Proprietary, industry-specific software to make complex systems smarter, including energy management systems, mobility solutions, and healthcare applications.

Corporate social responsibility, is at the core of what we do

Technology and industrial automation form our core business. We are good at this. But adding value and giving it back to the environment, the people, and society does not feel like an obligation. Quite the opposite, it feels natural to us.

Today's and tomorrow's challenges - urbanisation, climate change, digital transformation, energy transition, to mention a few of them - are everyone's concern. Together, we look for sustainable solutions for ourselves and future generations. We plan ahead and, where possible, take the lead. No matter how complex the challenge, we will take it on. Read more about corporate social responsibility in 2022 annual report.

Sustainable development goals

The United Nations adopted 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in 2015. These goals form a worldwide compass and a call for action to end poverty and starvation. They promote a healthy lifestyle and well-being. Based on our strategy, value creation model, and current initiatives, we mapped out how ICT can contribute to the realisation of the SDGs. Read all about it how ICT contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals.

We like to lead by example and closely follow the CO2 Performance Ladder, says Peter. We successfully reduced our CO2 emissions from 6.2 to 1.5 tonnes per employee per year over a period of 10 years, and our target is 0.8 tonnes by 2026.

Many initiatives have been taken to fulfill our sustainable promise in business. These initiatives contribute to the lowest possible CO2 emissions. Among other things, this resulted in level 4 of the CO2 performance ladder in 2012.
