ICT Group presents at Production Process Automation event 2020

Effectiveness and efficiency have been the key words for the production and process industry over the years. Current developments in Industry 4.0, the Industrial Internet of Things, Big Data and also Cyber Security require concrete and at the same time strategic choices.

ICT Group contributes to the sharing of knowledge, via, among other things, the Production Process Automation event, to make the right choices. Both in the context of technological innovations and in the cooperation with the chain. The added value lies in the use of industrial automation and system integration. But also in building a bridge between Information Technology and Operational Technology.

Due to growing international competition, pressure on margins and changes in the chain, many manufacturing companies are experiencing the pressure to work even more efficiently. Much efficiency improvement is hidden in better collaboration between IT and OT. IT is the baby of the business, where everything revolves around financial data. OT is the engine of the workplace, where productivity is controlled. Two separate worlds that suddenly have to work together to make their organisation future-proof. Watch the video to get both aligned.

How do you built a bridge between Information Technology (IT) en Operational Technology (OT)? Sign up free of charge for the workshop on April 1st ‘The bridge between Information Technology en Operational Technology‘.

From supply-driven to demand driven production of doors

For years Reinaerdt Deuren based its production on make-to-stock. The sizes of batches became smaller and smaller as the number of different designs increased. This was the reason for the company to take the strategic decision to change its production method into make-to-order with a batch size of only one item. ICT Group ensured that the new production line communicates seamlessly with the ERP system and that Reinaerdt Deuren is ready for future challenges.

“ICT Group has translated our thoughts into a concept how you should technically organize production automation”

In this video André Ebbekink (Financial Director Reinaerdt Deuren) and Koen Peppelman (Business Unit Manager ICT Machine & Systems) talk about the project, the collaboration and their vision for the future.
