Knowledge session: SYSTEMS ENGINEERING | APRIL 16

– This knowledge session is in Dutch only! –

From 0 to Azure DevOps using CI-CD with VSTS and OSS tools

– Dutch only –

Deelname is kosteloos.

Dashboard in a Day #3

What is Dashboard in a Day?
Dashboard in a Day is a daylong, instructor led, hands-on tutorial to accelerate understanding how to use Power BI to gather and transform data, to create visualizations, to gain insights culminating in creating and sharing Power BI dashboards. Upon completion of the hands-on tutorial, students then apply the lessons learned to their own data, with the end goal of leaving the class with a solid foundational knowledge of Power BI and a working dashboard of their data.

This course is perfect for business analysts and other business leaders who must glean insight from history, make assertions for change, and take a direct action with data-driven cases.
Interested in attending this complimentary event? All you have to do is bring your Windows-based Notebook and we’ll supply the rest, including lunch.

What is covered?
Throughout the day, we’ll touch on the following areas:
• Importing Data
• Transforming Data
• Interactive Data Exploration
• Report Authoring
• Creating Dashboards and uploading Reports
• Operational Dashboards and Sharing
• Refreshing Dashboard data
• Distributing content to larger audiences
• Power BI Service – Sharing content in and outside your organization

Optionally, you can also install Power BI Desktop from the Power BI Desktop Install folder on the flash drive that will be provided. You will need administrative rights on your device in order to install. This is important, if you don’t have administrative rights on your machine, make sure that you have the desktop client installed beforehand. The online version is not sufficient!

Signup for Power BI: Go to http://aka.ms/pbidiadtraining and sign up for Power BI with a business email address. If you cannot sign up for Power BI, let the instructor know. If you have an existing account, please go to http://app.powerbi.com and Sign in using your Power BI account

Download the lab content: The lab content is updated regularly, so we recommend downloading the content no more than 5 days in advance to avoid large version mismatches. The size of the content is around 600mb and is available at http://aka.ms/DIAD.

Bring your own data: It is important to bring a sample of your own data in order to experiment with it near the end of the lab. This allows you to practice with data that you are familiar with.
