What we do
ICT Group helps you to optimise your processes by enhanced access and use of your data. By combining our domain expertise and our experience in process automation with our knowledge of data we provide guidance that helps you to define the best data strategy. We assess the data you need and the data you have available, and we combine this data to generate decision-making information. To accomplish this, we use tools such as ConNXT, our ICT cloud solution for remotely reading, collecting and analysing data.
Our highly skilled data specialists are supported by colleagues from ICT Group who are specialised in markets such as machine engineering, transport & logistics, the manufacturing industry, healthcare and water & infrastructure. Data Intelligence acts as the central point of contact.
We support organisations to make better decisions, to optimise their operational processes and to improve products and services by means of IoT, data, and AI.

Benefits of a smart data strategy
Companies that are able to make targeted use of their data have a competitive edge. They know what is happening in their organisation; they continuously monitor whether their processes are running smoothly, and know in a timely manner when processes need to be adjusted in order to prevent disruption of the continuity.
- Save costs by using predictive maintenance
Companies need to prevent downtime of machines, infrastructure and business-critical applications. They want to use information on any changes in the behaviour of assets and applications to predict when preventive measures need to be taken. - Accelerate innovations by making smart use of data
Easily transform new insights from your data into business innovations or use them for product development. - Optimise processes
Maintain an overview of your data and obtain real-time insight into your internal business processes or your inventory management.
Our approach
In most cases, the potential benefits of using the data in your organisation are huge. Although this is great news, it may also have a discouraging effect, because with all the options available you may not be able to see the wood for the trees. We bring order to this chaos and we use a step-by-step approach to translate your requirements into a solution.
We apply a proven approach to help you to gain insight into your data:

Our services
Our proven approach allows us to provide you a variety of services that are tailored to your needs. The following services are the building blocks for a data-driven organisation. You can opt for any building block you need. We will always consult with you to determine the best data strategy and roadmap in order to offer the most efficient and cost-saving solution.
Datastrategy and Roadmap
We assist you in defining your datastrategy in order to gain maximum benefit from your data in the most cost effective manner. This will guarantee a solution that is geared for the future.
Determining the business case
We start by determining your business case(s) and the related information requirements. Even if you do not yet have a clear view of those requirements, we can help you identify the specific options for your situation, based on your data strategy.
Data centralisation
We draw up an inventory of the data sources that are already present. We then use this inventory to assess the best way to make data accessible and to store the data in a manner that guarantees secure access.
Data analysis – Translating an information requirement into a data solution
Our data specialists combine and analyse IT & OT data as well as internal and external data to provide new insights that support improvement of your business processes. We visualise these insights in the form of models or dashboards.
Data visualisation
The dashboard is used to collect and analyse data that is relevant for your company. You can use it to continuously monitor your business processes. The analysis and the data from the dashboard are used to visualise trends and developments, thus turning data into decision-making information. By inferring relationships between data, patterns become visible, which also allows to predict when specific maintenance is needed.
Reference projects
Helping with asphalt inspections
Construction company BAM spent a lot of time and resources on asphalt inspections. Their employees had to visit the locations to check road surfaces for cracks and other damages. Their work caused disruption of the traffic flow on the roads. We provided BAM with an AI model that now performs most of the inspection work for them. This solution allowed BAM to reduce the inspection time by 98 percent. By enabling predictive maintenance BAM is now able to plan more efficiently, and the inspection work no longer causes disruption to road users.
Supporting predictive maintenance of the railways
Railway manager ProRail was looking for a solution to determine the cause of failures. We created a dashboard to support preventive maintenance. The enriched data in the dashboard originates from different data sets. Signalling values have been defined to alert to current disruptions and future disruptions. The dashboard allows ProRail to work more efficiently. The railway manager spends 18 percent less time analysing failures and is now able to prevent about 13 percent of failures.
Strategic decisions based on data
The number of radiology treatments at Massachusetts General Hospital exceeded the limit set by the government by 25 percent. To identify the cause of this overrun, the first thing the hospital needed was proper information. We collected all the data relevant to the process in a transparent manner and traced any deviations to provide insight into the problem. The hospital used this as a basis for reaching an effective decision to resolve the problem. In the end, the hospital succeeded in reducing the overrun from 25 to 3 percent.
More innovation and improved service thanks to data
The digital transformation at Remeha for which we offered support, is a good illustration of the extent of the benefits of using big data effectively. This manufacturer of heating systems wanted to have more insight into the behaviour and use of central heating installations in order to better predict when and what type of maintenance would be needed. This information allows installers to provide better advice to their customers – the users of the central heating systems – about required maintenance in order to minimise the risk of failure. This also means that they can monitor the current status of the heating unit at any time.
Data Intelligence connected the heating installations to Remeha.Connect, an IoT platform developed by ICT Group, based on products from the Microsoft IoT Suite. The data generated by the installations is transformed into reports that provide the required insight into usage and behaviour. This resulted in fewer unexpected surprises for installers and users, satisfied customers, more comfort, and faster and more effective repairs. The data now available to Remeha allows the company to offer new services, such as remote diagnosis and updates. The company now offers ‘heating as a service’.
