What is Motar?
Motar enables mechanical engineers in the automotive industry to create software without programming skills. The Motar-platform consists of a Simulink blockset, a Basic SW (BSW) stack based on AUTOSAR, and optionally, a custom-made HW platform. This enables quick and flexible model-based development with lower costs. By using the Motar-toolbox for Simulink, a scalable solution compliant with AUTOSAR is provided. Motar provides a seamless integration with model-based development tools to enable full integration support at the model level rather than at source code level.
The following MathWorks products are necessary for integration: MATLAB®, Simulink, MATLAB Coder™, Simulink Coder™, and Embedded Coder®. Motar contains a Simulink Blockset that enables users to generate their model (ECU firmware) completely from Simulink.
Technology Partner InMotion
For the development of their full electric formula racecar, the Fusion, our partner InMotion used the Motar-platform. Motar ECUs are used for the control of every electronic function in this car. ICT and InMotion have been developing these ECUs together in a close partnership. This lead to a record-breaking formula car, which currently holds the laprecords at the Zandvoort, Zolder and Assen tracks. Furthermore, for InMotion’s concept endurance racecar, the Vision, Motar makes sure that a lot of the software developed and tested for the Fusion can be reused.
