ICT Group will gladly meet you at the Waterinfodag in Den Bosch.
The Waterinfodag is the national event on information provision in the water sector. The Waterinfodag is an exhibition, congress and network day in one. The Waterinfodag is for all professionals who collect, process and apply information about water management.
We are happy to meet you at stand 101 or during one of the following presentations:
10.15 – 11.00 h: ‘De geïntegreerde architectuur van Informatie en Operationele Techniek’ door Jurg Bremmer, Sr. Consultant Water & Infra.
In the continuous growth of data and information, the challenge is ever greater to use it effectively. The question here is which information architecture fits best. With the standard approach of ICT Group based on ISA-95, we provide insight into the opportunities and points for attention. The presentation will provide an explanation of this approach and which steps can already be taken here. This is supported with a number of practical examples.
11.30 – 12.15 h: ‘Een smart grid op een RWZI: de business cases ontrafeld!’ door Gijs van der Meer, Energieadviseur Waternet & Elke Klaassen, Sr. Software Designer ICT Group.
In the context of the energy transition, more sustainability is taking place within the water sector. For example, we also see more often that solar parks are being realized at sewage treatment plants (RWZIs). This has an effect on the energy flows on the site itself (the own network) but also on the energy exchange between the WWTP and the regional network. By making use of the already proven possibilities of Internet-of-Things (IoT), the energy flows at the WWTPs can be controlled in a smarter way, among other things to optimize the own consumption of solar energy, or to profit from the prices. on the energy market. The realization of a so-called smart grid offers economic opportunities for the water sector and is also crucial for the further development of the energy transition.
Important questions in this context are: is there flexibility available to manage the demand or supply of energy at the WWTPs? What is the best way to manage this flexibility from an economic point of view? To answer these questions, Waternet & ICT Group carried out a joint study in which the knowledge in the field of water, energy, IoT and data science have been combined to use the available data to calculate various scenarios for RWZI Horstermeer, an installation where in 2018 a solar park of 2.7 MWp has been realized.
We like to take visitors on the Waterinfodag along in our ‘journey with the data’: from simple calculations to a model that increasingly represents reality.
