Low Car Diet challenge succesful

In the month of April 22 ICT employees (18 from Eindhoven and 4 from Barendrecht) competed in the Low Car Diet. Hollands biggest sustainable mobility contest between companies and co-workers. With high-speed e-bikes, electrical cars and more frequent use of public transport the participants competed with each other to achieve as many sustainable miles as possible. On Thursday May 19 the finishing event was held at Eneco in Rotterdam and the winners were announced. The ICT employees were very successful and placed themselves as the runner up where savings in Euros were concerned. They accomplished a saving of 24,8 %. Apart from this ICT colleagues Oscar Reynhout and Sebastiaan Sorensen won two separate challenges. An overall price was won by colleague Johan van Uden.  His picture of a BBQ held at a FastNed charging station – with the comment ‘what to do when charging’ – was awarded the best Social Media Moment in the contest. BBQ Two colleagues from Eindhoven took the contest to the limit when visiting the finishing event.  They took the train to Rotterdam and then shared a public transport bike.  You can’t be more sustainable than that.                 You can watch the video’s here:   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8VY52OudNHQ For more information about the contest visit http://www.lowcardiet.nl
