ICT Automatisering wins Automotive deal at Hyundai

13 June 2012

ICT Automatisering (ICT) is proud to announce the Navi-Simulator project for car brand Hyundai which ICT will execute in-house. Hyundai is part of Korea’s leading general trading house Hyundai Corporation. Both parties will not disclose financial details about this project.

The ICT Navi-Simulator has been developed to enable reproducible testing of navigation systems. The Navi-Simulator simulates routes in a lab environment which means that complete navigation systems can be tested without actual drivers driving the preferred routes. Tested routes and new to be generated routes can be used to expand the navigation library which will help in streamlining development, bug fixing and regression testing.

Carlo D’Agnolo, CEO ICT Automatisering: “We know the automotive market very well. With several well-known car brands like Hyundai we have a strong relationship. ICT is known as a solid system integrator that is able to deliver relevant solutions for its clients. Based on our in house technology and automotive knowledge we are able to deliver Hyundai a custom-made solution based on their requirements.”

Jip van der Berg, General Manager ICT Software Engineering GMBH, the German subsidiary of ICT Automatisering: “We are very pleased that Hyundai has chosen us for this innovative project. The enormous potential of navigation systems was already shown in the past be it at different route profiles or at dynamic routing. The system we develop for Hyundai has a strong increase of our functionality for route generation with advanced GPS functionality, such as Multi-path simulation and the possibility of testing several devices simultaneously. Next to that, a few of the benefits for Hyundai are: 100% reproducibility for testing of navigation/GPS systems, cost reduction during the test phase and a reduction in overall development and test times.”

The vertical Automotive within ICT is an independent ‘single source’ engineering solutions provider, fully specialized in automotive. Products and services are offered throughout the entire automotive supply chain, to chip manufactures, system/niche suppliers and the OEMs. Core business is the development of embedded software for automotive systems in the domains infotainment & telematics and the more traditional ones like body, chassis and engine. ICT has already a proven track record in building the Navi-Simulator for well-known car brands. More information about the Navi-Simulator can be found on the site.
