ICT joins AUTOSAR as an Associate Member
ICT Automatisering N.V. (ICT) is proud to announce that its Traffic and Automotive Group, consisting of ICT Embedded B.V., Rialtosoft B.V. and XCC Software AG, has joined the Automotive Open System Architecture ("AUTOSAR") partnership as an Associate Member.
The AUTOSAR partnership is an alliance of OEM manufacturers and Tier 1 automotive suppliers working together to develop and establish a de-facto open industry standard for automotive E/E (electrical/electronic) architecture which will serve as a basic infrastructure for the management of functions within both future applications and standard software modules.
Pascal van den Bosch, Divisional Director of ICT Embedded B.V.: “This is a great step forward for ICT and it demonstrates our commitment across the whole Traffic and Automotive Group to being involved at the forefront of developments in this exciting and innovative industry. It is a wonderful opportunity to combine our experience as an independent, quality driven Automotive Software developer and integrator at both the ‘electronic’ and ‘mechatronic’ levels with AUTOSAR.
AUTOSAR was formed in July 2003 by the automotive manufacturers BMW Group, DaimlerChrysler and Volkswagen, and by the automotive system suppliers Bosch, Continental and Siemens VDO. Their objective is to establish an open standard for automotive Electric/Electronic (E/E) architectures. The goals of the partnership include the standardization of basic system functions and functional interfaces, the ability to integrate and transfer functions and to substantially improve software updates and upgrades over the vehicle lifetime
