What is Scrum?

Scrum provides a framework for project management that enables you to respond flexibly to changes in a project. Important aspects of this framework are:

  • The high degree of involvement on the part of the client and the regular delivery of operational software components – product development is carried out in short sprints. During a sprint, the requirements are put on hold, but the client can redefine his requirements and priorities for the next sprint. This allows the client to remain focused on requirements which deliver maximum value for the business.
  • High level of responsibility for the development team – the team determines before the start of the sprint what elements from the list of priorities can be delivered. This benefits the involvement, productivity and creativity of the project members.
