Certified Product Owner workshop

The Certified Product Owner workshop is a two-day practically oriented workshop by Scrum Master Jens Østergaard. On completion of the workshop you will be a Certified Product Owner being able to participate as Product Owner within an Agile/Scrum project.

The role of Product Owner (PO) is equally important as being Scrum Master or Development Team. Unfortunately often on starting an Agile/Scrum project the impact of this role is largely underrated. The PO is the "business contact" for a successful Agile/Scrum project. The Product Owner is responsible for aligning feature requests, "scheduling" priorities and in the end making business decisions. This implies contact with different types of stakeholders like (end)customers, production, company strategy and of cause the development team itself. Often the responsible product owner has to collaborate with other product owners responsible for other interacting (sub-)projects.

In this chaos of managing all expectations and still delivering a valuable product, the workshop helps in identifying the clear roles and responsibilities within a Scrum project combined with a framework on how to handle this all. An important critical aspect is the need for managing a ordered list of expected features (=product backlog) in the context of using it as communication with all stakeholders and Development Team. All the Scrum aspects, from Product Owner point of view, for handling a product backlog and the creation of a sprint backlog will be addressed.

The class is interactive with many exercises. We will run through a case from vision to sprint planning doing exercises on a wide range of concepts, such as user story, story mapping, minimal marketable feature, release planning, etc.

The costs for this workshop are Euro 1.395,- (excluding VAT).
For more information, please
or register by the form below.
